The Eco Detectives is an innovative cigarette smoke and vape detection and alert system designed to promote public health and cleaner environments. The main component of this invention is a nicotine smoke sensor, which detects cigarette smoke in the surrounding air. When cigarette smoke and Vape are  detected at the preset level, the system activates an alert to remind people that smoking is not allowed in the designated area. This invention aims to help reduce exposure to second-hand smoke, encourage responsible behaviour and create healthier public spaces. The system is designed to be simple and practical, without using Artificial Intelligence, a camera or Raspberry Pi. This innovation supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 13: Climate Action by promoting health awareness, cleaner communities and environmental responsibility. The Eco Detectives demonstrates how a simple sensor-based invention can help address a real-world public health problem.
