High-value functional fungi, particularly Lignosus rhinocerus (Tiger Milk Mushroom), face market scarcity due to slow cultivation cycles, while Schizophyllum commune (Splitgill Mushroom) suffers significant yield losses from microclimate instability. In closed greenhouse environments, toxic carbon dioxide accumulation and sluggish metabolic rates create major physiological obstacles. Because carbon dioxide is denser than ambient air, it gathers near the floor, causing stipe elongation and stunted cap morphology. To overcome these biological and aerodynamic challenges, E-Ligno was developed as an automated, low-cost microclimate control system driven by an ESP32 microcontroller. The platform integrates a DHT22 climate sensor, an MQ135 gas sensor, and a low-frequency acoustic transducer operating on non-blocking software logic. When environmental thresholds are breached, the system activates a floor-level negative-pressure exhaust fan to swiftly evacuate heavy gas without desiccating substrate bags, alongside short-burst ultrasonic misting to prevent bacterial blotch disease. Crucially, the system emits focused 150 Hz acoustic wave pulses, stimulating mycelial enzymatic activity and enhancing nutrient absorption. Experimental testing demonstrated that E-Ligno accelerates Tiger Milk Mushroom growth rates by forty percent while maintaining optimal relative humidity between eighty and eighty-five percent. E-Ligno provides a highly scalable, energy-efficient precision agriculture solution that greatly improves yield rate, crop viability, and commercial accessibility for smallholder indoor mushroom growers.
