The polarization tensor (PT) is a mathematical representation of how a conducting object affects the surrounding electric or electromagnetic field. PT is applied in many areas, such as medical imagin, metal detection and the study on electrosensing fish. In these applications, finding a spheroid that has the same first-order polarization tensor (PT) (simplest form of PT) is also useful for characterizing a conducting hidden object, as the spheroid and the object may share similar physical properties. However, obtaining such a spheroid requires solving tedious mathematical equations, which can be error-prone and time-consuming. Therefore, the objective of the proposed innovation is to easily and accurately compute the conductivity (when volume is specified) and volume (when conductivity is specified) for a spheroid based on its first order PT. Our innovation is a Matlab application with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that receives the values of the first order PT and the specified conductivity, k or volume, |B| before computing the corresponding parameters of the spheroid. It is an upgraded version of our previous innovation, where, this new version offers a unified platform that incorporates both fixed-conductivity and fixed-volume analyses, enhancing usability, flexibility, and overall user experience. The application has many benefits and one of them is complex mathematical computations are automated through a graphical interface, making the application accessible to users without extensive programming experience. Besides, the characteristics of a conducting object can be analyzed through an equivalent spheroid, which captures its electrical response and geometric behavior. Moreover, the GUI could be useful in problems involving object detection, shape estimation, or material characterization. Due to its advantages, the GUI has significant commercial potential in the education sector and various industries, while also encouraging broader collaboration to advance future research and development.
