MyHistory is an innovative, single-file gamified web application engineered to transform Malaysian secondary school history education (KSSM Sejarah Form 1 to 5). Designed to solve the traditional reliance on passive rote memorization, the platform merges core curriculum content with global historical context, artificial intelligence tutoring, and game design mechanics. By delivering immediate factual content paired with global analogies and higher-order thinking prompts, MyHistory bridges local historical events with broader world history patterns, developing both exam readiness for SPM candidates and critical analytical skills for lifelong learning.

The platform integrates a comprehensive dual-curriculum library containing structured notes across all fifty-three KSSM Sejarah chapters, eight supplementary world history modules based on E.H. Gombrich’s A Little History of the World, and a repository of over two hundred and fifty quiz questions categorized by basics, civilizations, events, figures, and higher-order thinking skills (KBAT). Its core innovation, the AI Genius Tutor, employs cross-historical reasoning to connect Malaysian historical events with parallel global patterns such as comparing Melaka's maritime trade to Venice or Tok Janggut's resistance to the American Revolution while prompting students to analyze, compare, and synthesize information.

To sustain student engagement, MyHistory incorporates a thirty-level experience point progression system, achievement badges, daily challenges, learning missions, leaderboards, and streak tracking. The user interface features native text-to-speech functionality via the Web Speech API, progress tracking, dark and light theme options, and culturally resonant design elements such as batik patterns and songket borders. Technically, the platform is implemented as a zero-dependency, lightweight static web application using pure HTML5, CSS3, vanilla JavaScript, and LocalStorage for client-side state persistence. Ultimately, MyHistory provides an accessible, culturally rich, and contextually grounded educational tool that prepares Malaysian students for both academic success and informed global citizenship.
