This project addresses system administration and operational security challenges
in legacy Linux environments, focusing primarily on CentOS 7 end-of-life (EOL)
repository redirection, broken runtime libraries, and remote Kernel-based Virtual
Machine and Quick Emulator (KVM/QEMU) hypervisor graphical execution via X11
forwarding. As open-source enterprise distributions reach their official retirement
milestones, default package manager mirror lists become unresponsive, causing
automated deployment pipelines and software installation routines to fail unexpectedly
Standard mirror failures disrupt automated deployment pipelines in legacy system
infrastructures. To solve this, an automated shell and Python orchestration toolkit was
developed to seamlessly migrate package manager mirrors to the official vault
archives, repair broken ELF utilities, and establish secure display forwarding via
MobaXterm/VcXsrv routines. The development lifecycle incorporated shell scripting,
Python execution modules, and remote hypervisor configuration using virt-manager
and virt-install. Testing yieled a 100% success rate in repository mirror redirection
and virtual machine provisioning across isolated network interfaces. The toolkit
streamlines administrative workflows, eliminates manual library troubleshooting, and
provides a stable operational foundation for legacy virtualized environments.
