Group and solo travel is growing rapidly in Malaysia, yet travellers still coordinate trips across five or six disconnected tools, struggle with unclear shared expenses, and put their safety at risk when joining strangers met on social media. A requirements study with 60 travellers, mostly aged 18 to 34, supported by in-depth interviews, confirmed the need for one trusted platform. SyncNGo is a native Android application that supports the whole journey in four stages: Find, through verified sign-up, filtered trip search and waitlists; Plan, through a shared map-based itinerary, group chat, polls, calendar reminders and checklists; Pay, through flexible expense splitting with suggested settlements; and Safe, through a one-tap Emergency SOS with live location sharing, local emergency numbers and post-trip ratings. All 120+ test cases passed, and 15 users rated its usability as excellent (SUS score 81.17). With a freemium model and tourism partner commissions, SyncNGo promotes safer, fairer and more affordable travel in line with SDGs 5, 8 and 11.
