Introduction

Drying clothes outdoor is a common practice. Heavy fabrics like denim, towels and carpet hold more water and significantly longer to dry. Drying clothes or heavy fabric indoor increases indoor humidity which can lead to toxic mold growth, musty odor and structural damages. This can trigger health issues.

Un-alert rain falls causing inconvenience for working adults. Unpredictable rain causes significant consequences for outdoor laundry including rewashing costs which involve time, water, electricity and detergent.

This innovation presents the design of an IOT based automated shield, powered by an ESP 32 microcontroller and moisture detection sensors and Blynk apps for real time notification to your phone and storage tank for harvesting.

Alert: It instantly pings your smartphones, so, you’re in control even if you’re miles away.

Harvest: Best of all , it channels that rain in to a tank, giving you free, soft water for cleaning, washing vehicles and watering plants.
