PS463: SMART FIRE DETECT0R

Kirubashen Siva SJKT KAJANG

Fire accidents can cause serious damage to property, the environment, and human lives. The Smart Fire Detector is an innovative safety system designed to detect smoke and high temperatures at an early stage and provide an immediate warning to reduce the risk of fire spreading.

This project uses an Arduino Uno or Nano, an MQ-2 smoke sensor, and a DHT22 temperature sensor to monitor smoke levels and surrounding temperature. When the sensors detect smoke or a temperature that exceeds the preset safety limit, the system activates an LED alarm and buzzer to alert people. An LCD display provides information about the detected condition, while a fan switches on automatically to help reduce heat inside the model house. When the sensor readings return to normal, the alarm and fan are switched off, and the display indicates a safe condition.

The Smart Fire Detector aims to demonstrate how affordable electronic components and automated monitoring can improve fire safety and increase awareness of fire prevention. It is a practical educational model that demonstrates the importance of early fire detection and rapid warning in creating a safer future.
