Personal financial planning is a very important life skill, but many students often face difficulties in understanding the theoretical and mathematical components, which leads to a high rate of academic failure. To overcome the challenges of this traditional teaching method, an innovative mobile application (known as FIN533 Mobile Apps) has been developed by combining the concept of mobile learning (mobile learning) and gamification. This innovation uses a dual-functional hybrid approach that includes an Interactive Academic Hub equipped with a Time Value of Money (TVM) calculator and step-by-step tax to reduce students' cognitive load as well as a Game Simulator that allows users to manage a realistic personal financial profile in a risk-free virtual environment. The implementation of this innovation has proven to be extremely effective by drastically reducing the course failure rate from 12% to only 2%. In addition, the survey showed that 99.3% of users gave positive feedback on the effectiveness of this application in simplifying complex subjects. In line with the INEX26 theme of "Shaping Tomorrow with Innovative Solutions", this innovation not only bridges the gap between theory and practical application in higher education, but also has great commercialization potential to empower the digital financial literacy of the wider community in the future.
