The project addresses the increasing amount of citrus fruit waste generated by households and explores the potential of transforming kitchen waste into a useful cleaning solution.The main objective of Happy Peel Spray is to investigate the usefulness of orange-peel-infused vinegar as an ingredient in a household cleaning spray. Orange peels are soaked in vinegar to produce an infused solution, which is subsequently filtered and diluted with water. The formulation is intended for routine cleaning of suitable household surfaces, with effectiveness and surface compatibility requiring evaluation.This innovation integrates Science, environmental education and practical problem-solving through hands-on experimentation. Pupils explore natural materials, acidic solutions, waste management and sustainable product development.Happy Peel Spray supports SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 4: Quality Education by encouraging food waste reduction and meaningful scientific exploration.In conclusion, Happy Peel Spray demonstrates how discarded fruit peels can be repurposed into a practical cleaning product concept while encouraging sustainable habits and environmental responsibility.
