STAI MASTER 2.0 (Science Terms Artificial Intelligence Master) is an innovative mobile application developed to address the challenges faced by multilingual primary school pupils in understanding and applying scientific terminology. The innovation integrates artificial intelligence (AI), a no-code Glide platform, and a Microsoft Excel database to provide simplified scientific terms and definitions in three languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese. The application covers scientific terminology based on five major themes in the Science Curriculum Standard Document (DSKP), namely Life Science, Physical Science, Material Science, Earth and Space, and Technology and Sustainability. It also incorporates visual references, rapid search functions, thematic categorisation, and an interactive chat function to support independent learning and classroom teaching. The innovation was developed in response to pupils’ difficulties in understanding complex scientific terms, translating terminology across languages, writing scientific terms accurately, and connecting terminology with scientific concepts. A pilot study involving eight Year 4 pupils at SK Kampung Baru, Bintulu, was conducted to evaluate its effectiveness through pre- and post-tests. The findings demonstrated an improvement in pupils’ mean scores for scientific terminology understanding from 57.5% to 90.6%, representing an increase of 33.1%. Meanwhile, the mean score for science question-answering skills increased from 61.9% to 86.9%, representing an improvement of 25.0%. These findings indicate that STAI MASTER 2.0 can enhance pupils’ understanding of scientific terminology and support their ability to answer science questions more accurately. With its multilingual, accessible, low-cost, and scalable design, STAI MASTER 2.0 has strong potential to be disseminated to teachers and pupils beyond the school level, supporting inclusive and technology-enhanced Science education in the 21st century.
