This project develops biodegradable plastic from cornstarch, water, vinegar, and glycerin as an eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic. The bioplastic was prepared by heating the mixture, moulding it into sheets, and allowing it to dry. Tests showed that it is flexible, functional, and decomposes naturally in soil, unlike conventional plastic. Innovative applications, including seed-embedded plastic, demonstrate its potential to reduce plastic waste while promoting environmental sustainability. This project also supports hands-on science learning by connecting the concepts of biodegradation and natural polymers with real-life applications, encouraging environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
