Title: SMART RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM
Abstract
The Smart Rainwater Harvesting System is an innovative project designed to collect and store rainwater for future use, helping to conserve water and reduce wastage. Water is an essential natural resource, but excessive use of treated water and the wastage of rainwater can contribute to water shortages, especially during dry seasons.
The main objective of this project is to develop a simple and efficient system that collects rainwater from rooftops and directs it into a storage tank. The collected water can be used for suitable non-drinking purposes, such as watering plants, cleaning outdoor areas and washing tools. The system aims to encourage responsible water management and reduce dependence on treated water for everyday activities.
By applying simple technology and sustainable practices, the Smart Rainwater Harvesting System promotes water conservation and environmental awareness. This project supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. It provides a practical solution for homes, schools and communities to conserve water and contribute towards a more sustainable future.
