EcoHusk is an eco-friendly composite material made from rice husks, an agricultural byproduct of rice milling. By combining rice husks with epoxy resin and hardener, EcoHusk transforms waste into lightweight, durable, and attractive products such as keychains, pencil toppers, jewelry, and fridge magnets. Developed in collaboration with Kelang Beras Kong Soon Eng (Kedah) Sdn. Bhd., the project promotes sustainable use of agricultural waste and value-added material innovation. Besides, EcoHusk supports SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by reducing waste through recycling, and SDG 15 (Life on Land) by encouraging responsible resource use and environmental conservation.
