This project introduces an eco-friendly bioplastic plant pot made from recycled orange peels to help reduce single-use plastic waste and prevent transplant shock. Traditional plant pots require removing the plant before moving it into the ground, which often damages fragile roots and stuns growth. To solve this problem, dried orange peel powder is mixed with cornstarch, water and vinegar. The orange peel fibers reinforce the pot to prevent cracking, while vinegar and natural peel oils prevent mold growth. After moulding and drying, a double layer of melted beeswax is applied for waterproofing. The resulting pot is strudy, mold-resistant and functional. Since the entire pot can be planted directly into the ground, it can  protect root systems from transplant shock and slowly decomposes into organic material (compost). This low-cost method turns food waste into a smart, sustainable gardening solution.
